Mazda SUV CX 7 was
first manufactured in Japan in 2007. It has some models in different countries
and some renewed model, like in 2010 model. This mid-size SUV is the first SUV
that Mazda has after the Navajo which stopped its production in 1994. Some
people say that this model is a bit the same like the Mazda CX-9, but the fact
is that they do not share the same platform. This series of Mazda uses the rear
suspension of Mazda5, and the front suspension of Mazda MPV Minivan. This also
uses the 6-speed automatic transmission, the turbocharged I-4 engine.
Well, as its next version, Mazda makes the new CX 5 which has more
efficient power train and interior room, while the size is smaller than the
CX-7. This car is updated in 2010, and as the result it has four models of
CX-7. First we have is the iSV which is the base version, the iSport which is
known as the next version, the sTouring which is the upscale version, and the
last is the sGrand Touring which is known as the top version. The
specifications of these four trims of Mazda SUV CX 7 are a bit
different. The all wheel drive system is only available for Touring and Grand
Touring styles, and only these two trims which have 2.3L turbocharged engines.
The Sport and SV styles come with four-cylinder 2.5L MZR as its engine. The UK
models, Canadian models, and Australian models are also various. The GS front
and all wheel drive and the GT all and four wheel drive are available in
Canadian while the Australian models come in AWD only, the CX 7 Classic base
trim and the CX 7 Luxury to trim. The UK models come in 2.3T and 2.2D Sport
Tech engine.
