The 2006Cadillac DTS is an improvement of an older model, Cadillac
DeVille. With this improvement, Cadillac DTS comes with many revisions to its
exterior and interior designs. The suspension of Cadillac DTS is also firmer
and has better control compared to its predecessor. However the front wheel
drive of the old DeVille remains in the DTS versions.
Similar
to other Cadillac products which have advance technology for its power train,
safety, suspension, and entertainment systems, Cadillac DTS is also equipped
with many luxurious features. There are several packages that come with
Cadillac DTS models, Luxury I through III and then the Performance package. The
Performance package of the 2006 Cadillac DTS is
equipped with a Northstar V8 engine with 292 horsepower while the Luxury
packages are equipped with a V8 engine with 275 horsepower. Other features that
are equipped on each package are more or less the same. All packages are
equipped with six air bags, all speed traction control, and advanced multi zone
climate control system.
The basic DTS come with the Luxury I which is equipped with the very basic features and equipment. Stepping up to the Luxury II, the package is added with satellite radio, memory package for two drivers, heated and cooled front seats with steering wheels with wood trim and many other features. The Luxury III package comes with a Bose stereo radio and eight speakers inside the car. The last package, the Performance package comes with bigger engine as well as eighteen inch machined aluminum wheels with all season tires. Due to the different packages offered in the 2006 Cadillac DTS, you choose your own package which is more suitable for your lifestyle or with the budget that you have. You can also add some improvements to the lower spec packages with some of the features from the higher spec packages with a price.
