There may be only few cars that have made its model through 35 constructive years, but this Celica from Toyota is such a survivor. This car has already been existed since 1971 until 2006, between its birth under the Nixon and its death under the Dubya, this car underwent several changes to its power trains, competitors, and also buyer demographics but it is never wavered from its mission as the Toyota’s entry-level sport coupe.

Its fresh arriving on America’s shores in 1971, the earliest of Toyota Celica was mostly memorable for having the rear-wheel drive, a tradition that lasted to three generations. The major design shift came when the Celica, the fourth generation, adopted the front-wheel-drive, the Camry-based engineering in the middle of 80s. Besides, Toyota also diversified the Celica model even further in the ‘90s by releasing the model in coupe, convertible and hatchback body styles.
