The first logo of Mazda was first used in 1936 when Mazda produced its three wheelers. The name Mazda itself came from god of wisdom, harmony and intelligent of Asian cultures named Ahura Mazda. This name was also derived from anglicized name of Jujiro Matsuda, the founder. The Mazda logo itself is actually inspired by the emblem of his town, Hiroshima. The triple Ms are the abbreviation for Mazda Motor Manufacturer, while the wings you see there are representing speed, agility and its ability to soar. In 1959, the new M logo was first used and it was the beginning of the company’s new era. In 1975 Mazda still used the same logo. But in 1992 new brand symbol was used.
