Hyundai motor
America ceo had gone through transition from the previous
ceo John Krafcik to new ceo David Zuchowski in the beginning of 2014. The
change of Ceo happened due to end of contract of the previous ceo John Krafcik
on the end of December of 2013. With the end of his contract, it had not been
known whether he retired completely from having a job or found other job in
different place. There many reasons that were suspected to be the causes of
previous ceo beyond his retirement. One of strong reason that might lead to his
retirement was due to sales growth in U.S. which getting slower.
David working history
There were many
reasons why David Zuchowski name appeared to be the strong candidate of
new Hyundai motor America ceo.
David also had been worked in Hyundai Company since 2007. He occupied the
position of vice president of Sales. He had experienced in managing all sales
in Hyundai including sales operations, market representation, and field
relations. His experience in working with automobile company should not
be doubt since he had worked in other big automobile companies before got his
part in Hyundai. He was working with Mazda North America as a vice president of
sales and field operations and also worked in Ford Motor Company with executive
positions such a regional manager and field operations manager.
David’s qualities as
potential leader
David also had all the quality
that a leader supposed to have. During his work as vice president in Hyundai,
he had been well-known to be a leader that liked to motivate his employees. He
was also very result-oriented. He was an individual with strange and unique
combinations of leader quality. He was not only smart and diligent but also
very creative and did all the Company’s duties with his passion. With those
qualities, he succeeded to replace the position of Hyundai motor America ceo.
